โColitas Con Canas and 3LOVE have united to tackle the pressing issue of stray dog overpopulation in Urubamba, Cusco, Peru, and to address related public health concerns in the region.
Together, our main goal is to implement a sustainable approach to reducing stray dog populations through sterilization and educational initiatives that empower the community and encourage lasting impact.
Enhance the quality of life for the 30 dogs currently residing in our shelter and improve conditions for our dedicated volunteers by establishing upgraded infrastructure.
Execute six sterilization campaigns for stray dogs over the course of one year.
Organize four educational campaigns throughout the year to promote responsible pet care, sterilization, and ethical breeding practices within the community.
We are pleased to recognize our ongoing collaboration with Sacred Pets Perรบ, founded by Canadian veterinarian Dr. Steve Kruzeniski in the Sacred Valley.
Dr. Steve has provided valuable care for our rescued dogs, including specialized dental treatments, medical care for dogs arriving at our shelter, and compassionate end-of-life care at our shelter. Combining conventional veterinary medicine with holistic approaches, he brings particular care and sensitivity to the needs of senior and vulnerable animals. More details on sacredpets.org๏ปฟ
We are grateful for his expertise and dedication to animal welfare and look forward to continuing and growing this valued relationship.
